Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said the company plans to launch an “everything exchange” in 2026, bringing crypto, stocks, commodities, and prediction markets onto a single platform with spot, futures, and options trading.
The move aims to position Coinbase as a direct rival to traditional brokerages while expanding into tokenized securities and event-based markets.
Armstrong said the goal is to make Coinbase the world’s leading financial app, backed by major investments in automation and product development.
As part of this strategy, Coinbase entered prediction markets in late 2025 through a partnership with Kalshi, a CFTC-regulated platform.
Screenshots later revealed a Coinbase-branded interface allowing users to trade event contracts using USD or USDC across categories like politics, economics, sports, and technology.
